Services Research As executive director of the BusinessMap Foundation, Reg was lead analyst for numerous publications on Black Economic Empowerment, Foreign Direct Investment, Investment in Southern Africa, and Restructuring of State-Owned Enterprises. He has continued to do research projects in some of these areas, as well as most recently polling business on their attitudes to a potential US-SACU Free Trade Agreement. Communications Neither of us knows much about Public Relations: both of us have a working knowledge of the South African and Southern African media. Janet has been the communications adviser for the ComMark Trust, a non-profit organization set up to make markets work for the poor in Southern Africa, and as such has helped the Trust convey the core concepts on which it is based as well as help build its brand. Writing and editing Collectively we have too many decades of experience in writing and editing than we care to mention. We have written about most things under the sun. Our editing skills range from copy-editing for grammar and style right through to major conceptual rewrites. Suffice it to say that we can spruce up most writing, though creating silk purses from sows' ears will cost you.
